The Forest Project (part 2: the reflection)

I chose to produce paintings as a way of reflecting back to the performance that happened in the forest (see the previous article). To paint was the best choice in order to portray moods and ways I felt. I made a series of paintings and they all are executed in a similar style. I painted in a post-impressionist manner combined with pointillism and modern figurative art. By using a pure pigment in the foreground and washed out colours in the background I tried to portray different levels and complexity of experience. I also used found objects to visualise ideas more vividly.

I created five various size paintings, oil on canvass. Each painting had a very thick wooden frame and toughened glass in front.

Works were exhibited at Old Truman’s Brewery London, 2017.
